The Evil Dead

I had heard a lot of good things about this film before seeing it.  It was not the slasher film like I was expecting but a good monster movie.  This film took nearly three years to film and was shot with a very low budget. It was made right when latex makeup came out and the gore in the movie was excellent.  There was little plot and few scares but the gore and the action was enough to keep me into the film for the 90 minutes.  I thought it was a good example of how gore in some cases can be added to a movie to make it good.  I give this film a 4 1/2 out of 5 for being an entertaining movie.
