The Last House on the Left
By: Brian Kinzeler

This is in my mind the most underrated horror film in my big collection.  It was created in 1972 by Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham.  I saw it at Best Buy and I decided to pick it up for 8 bucks on DVD.  Good buy.  Now for the movie.  Basic story about two girls who get kidnapped and beaten and raped by escaped criminals.  Not a typical slasher film but definitely a must see for a Craven or Cunningham fan being that these were both of these guys' first horror films and they have gone on to much bigger and better things.  Not a good film for people who have weak stomachs.  There is hardly any gore because of the time period but there is some very graphic scenes if you are easily offended.  I give this film a 4 out of 5 because the music in the film was funny but took away from the horror atmosphere.
