Jaws Anniversary DVD!

Universal has officially announced the DVD release of a Jaws: 30th Anniversary Edition for June 14th, according to the Digital Bits. This will be a 2-disc set containing the film in anamorphic widescreen video, with both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 audio. The second disc will be all extras (no word yet on what they are). Word is you'll also get something called Jaws: The Commemorative Photo Journal - probably a commemorative book. This 2-disc set will also be available in a full frame version, and it looks as though a single-disc Jaws: Anniversary Collector's Edition version will also be available in full frame and anamorphic widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 and anamorphic widescreen with DTS 5.1 (SRP $14.98). So let's get this straight... there are 5 DVD versions in all. 2-disc Wide (DD/DTS), 2-disc Full (DD/DTS), 1-disc Full (DD), 1-disc Wide (DD) and 1-disc Wide (DTS).

'Devil's Rejects' Trailer!

here you can watch the brand spanking new trailer for Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects. The spin-off to "House of 1000 Corpses" centers on a band of bounty hunters led by Sheriff Wydell's brother who is fueled by revenge when he finds out that his kin was slain by the Firefly family. The film will pick up shortly after the first with the Firefly clan going on the road after their house is burned down and a few family members have been gunned down during a police raid.

According to the Hollywood Reporter:

"Veronica Mars" star Kristen Bell and newcomer Steve Talley will star in "Pulse." The project is one of the films on the initial release slate of the new company that Harvey and Bob Weinstein plan to set up once their contract with the Walt Disney Co. and Miramax expires in September. Commercial helmer Jim Sonzero is making his feature directorial debut on the horror film, which is being produced by Mike Leahy and Joel Soisson of Neo Art & Logic. Speaking with reporters Tuesday, Harvey Weinstein cited the film as part of the slate that his new company, currently named the Weinstein Co., will launch itself with. Comparing it to "The Ring," he said, "We hope it will be a new franchise."

'Black Christmas' Remake Info

It has been in the works forever now, but it looks like things might finally be shaping up nicely for the Black Christmas remake, at least according to Creature Corner. They claim that Glen Morgan and James Wong, of Final Destination and The X-Files fame, are set to write and direct the project for Copperheart Entertainment.
